Style Icons, Passione per il Design Italiano exhibition at the Louwman Museum

From 27 April to 2 June 2013, the Louwman Museum presented the exhibition Style Icons, Passione per il Design Italiano. The exhibition brought together fifteen Alfa Romeos that showcased the craftsmanship of famous Italian coachbuilders.

The exhibition consisted of designs by, among others, Touring, Pininfarina, Bertone and Zagato. The cars provided an overview mainly of postwar designs and showed the important role that Italian coachbuilders played for many years in the development of Alfa Romeo.

The cars on display came from the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, the collection of Corrado Lopresto and several private collections. The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Foundation to mark the club's 35th anniversary.

Style Icons offered a remarkable overview of Alfa Romeos that evolved into icons of Italian design and are still regarded as highlights in the history of automotive design.
