55 years after its introduction, the Citroen SM once again inspired admiration in the Great Hall of the Louwman Museum.

Exhibition 55 years Citroen SM

From 14 to 25 May, one of the most pioneering cars in automotive history took center stage during the exhibition '55 years of Citroen SM'. In collaboration with the Citroen SM Club Nederland, an exceptional collection was brought together of versions that are normally spread across private collections and museums.
Visitors could come face to face with the imposing SM Presidentielle, the extended state convertible that was used for many years by French presidents. Johan Cruijff's personal Citroen SM also attracted a lot of attention. The car he drove during his time at FC Barcelona grew into an icon of its era.

Besides these well known examples, there were also rare body variants on display, including the Mylord, Opera, Espace, Frua and the sporty SM Race. Together they told the story of a car that brought together French innovation, Italian design and technical ambition in a form that still looks futuristic today.
