Cadillac Convertible

Cadillac Convertible

This Cadillac has the tallest tailfins ever used on a production car.

The fin craze had literally and physically reached its peak in 1959. It was the ultimate characteristic of the ‘Jet Age’ or ‘Space Age’, when the development and rise of fighter jets and rockets greatly influenced the design of consumer goods. The bullet- or rocket-shaped taillights and the front and rear lamp casings resembling jet engines are further examples. The extremely luxurious Cadillac has a 6.4-litre engine, six-way electrically adjustable seats, a panoramic, anti-glare windshield, air conditioning, automatic transmission and air suspension which ensures that the ride height remains constant.
